GSS-8T16SFP is a high performance web-smart switch that provides 16 mini-GBIC ports and 8 10/100/1000Mbps copper Ethernet ports. With optional fibre transceivers installable into the 16 mini-GBIC slots a combination of either multi-mode fibre transceivers for short distance applications or single-mode fibre transceivers for long distance applications can be used to construct a high-speed fibre backbone.



Management is implemented from an out-of-band RS-232 console port and also from in-band Ethernet connectivity.



All ports support Non-blocking maximum wire speed performance.
Auto-Negotiation and AUTO-MDIX functions on all switched 10/100/1000M RJ-45 Gigabit copper ports.



The GSM-8T16SFP supports both port-based VLAN and Tag-based VLAN.
To increase bandwidth for backbone applications up to 4 trunks can be enabled with a maximum of eight ports in each trunk.
